Ilsa, the new big student.

The Ultimate Book of Spells, or UBOS, is a Canadian children's animated television series which began production in 2001.

Cassy, Verne & Gus are three gifted students who go to an enchanted school where they learn about magic and how to use it. One day they receive a strange talking book in the mail. The book says his name is UBOS (Ultimate Book of Spells) and together they must journey to the center of the Earth to stop Zarlak.

Zarlak is a powerful wizard who is stealing all of Earth's magic so he can ultimately escape his prison, at the center of the earth, into which he was banished after a great battle.

This begins a journey of a lifetime for the three students – one they will never forget. They have to juggle school life and fighting the forces of evil with only each other and UBOS for help.

UBOS is actually Cassy's great-grandfather in disguise, as proven by several episodes, for example, after witnessing the legendary battle which ended with Zarlack's banishment, UBOS says to Cassy, "Come, my child". just like her great-grandfather. In another episode, UBOS said that Cassandra the seventh helped "m(e) – I mean, your great-grandfather" to Cassy and finally admitting it to Verne whilst not being himself.

Episode synopsis (with spoilers)

A giant girl named Ilsa (12 feet or 3.66 meters high) arrives at school spells. Cassy (star of this cartoon) wants to befriend, but every time she tries to help her with magic, spells sabotages by the antagonist, into believing that Cassy is doing bad jokes to Ilsa.

After joke teleporting a pitcher of water on the head of the mini-giantess (and thus make her believe that Cassy humiliated), Ilsa escapes the classroom breaking the door.

Again, Cassy want to convince Ilsa she did nothing wrong and compensated with a fashionably dressed, but the antagonist interferes with their plans and gives tight and torn clothes, then teleports in front of other students in order to humiliate again . Ilsa away from school.

After this, the antagonist convinces Ilsa that wants to be her friend and takes her to a cave where a mysterious sorcerer shrinks. Once shrunken (and hence weakened), the wizard reveals that actually wanted to capture.

The protagonists seek to Ilsa, but are captured (and steal from UBOS). Ilsa reconciles with Cassy and regrows (and regain their strength). With the advantage of brute force, they recover to UBOS and flee the place.

Back to school, where Ilsa's father was furious that let their daughter escaped, but Ilsa just comes and everything returns to normal.

Finally, Ilsa decides to avenge the antagonists, transforming his new friends (the main characters) in giant and intimidating opponents.
