Kamala Khan is a character from Marvel Comics.

Origin

Kamala Khan is the youngest of the two children of a traditional Pakistani family in New Jersey. Despite her traditional roots, Kamala is a typical American teenager. She wants to be herself, but she still wants to be the pride of her family. For several years, Kamala was a fan of superheroes, especially the Avengers and, most importantly, Carol Danvers. Therefore, she began writing a fan fiction about the Avengers and Captain Marvel. Even going as far as joining Carol Danvers Corps.

Greater arcs

Something more than a human

Kamala Khan with the body of Carol Danvers.

It was during a high school party where Kamala decided to try to fit in with the "normal people", but that Kamala realized that she didn't fit. She left the party abruptly and on her way home she was locked up by Terrigen Mists, so that it was during (the arc of) Infinity, it was revealed that Kamala was a descendant of the inhumans. Encased in a cocoon, her inhuman powers developed.

Kamala was put in a dream state, where Captain Marvel, in her dreams, asked her: "Who wants to be?" Kamala replied: "I want to be you." In this way, she got rid of the cocoon looks exactly like Carol's appearance. After a panic, Kamala learned that he had gained powers of change of form. Able to change her appearance or parts of her body at will. She eventually changed back to her own appearance and assumed the identity of the all-new, Ms. Marvel with the intention of being a superhero like Carol.

Meeting Spider-Man

Kamala is intercepted by Dr. Minerva when she was treating a kidnapping of a new inhuman, this was also the first time Ms. Marvel deals with Spider-Man. The couple would face face to face with Dr. Minerva who revealed that she was able to alter her powers from that of Ms. Marvel's original, Carol Danvers, and could now change into a giant monster. This was also the first time Kamala had faced something as horrible as that and with the help of Spider-man he was able to defeat Dr. Minerva, saving the inhuman turned out to be a baby and even got a few compliments from Spider-man

Powers and abilities

Although Kamala has the same alias with Carol Danvers, her powers are not similar. Kamala is a polymorph after being exposed to Terrigen Mists. This gives her the ability to stretch your body in almost any way imaginable. Kamala can also increase and decrease her size from gigantic until tiny sizes respectively.

The limits of her capacity have not yet been revealed, but she has grown enough to drive a car and reduced to the size of a cockroach. She can also selectively increase and decrease the size of any part of her body, although she prefers to increase the size of her fists. But she also uses the ability to increase the length of her legs so she can travel great distances in a short period of time. Kamala also has the ability to change shape. In theory she can resemble anyone who wants, but so far she has only changed in Carol Danvers and her own mother. Kamala also has healing properties abilities since she has been shot in the stomach, but was able to heal the wound when it is transformed back to its original form. She cannot transform again until the healing process is complete.

Weaknesses

The power of an electromagnetic pulse can cause her powers to be temporarily deactivated. She discovered this while fighting The Inventor.
